According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, ingesting levels of zinc in excess of the recommended dietary amount will result in diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach cramps. The maximum amount of daily zinc consumption recommended is 40 milligrams per day. Symptoms of too much zinc intake include nausea and headaches. If you have reason to suspect you have ingested too much zinc, contact a medical professional.
Along with promoting overall health, a sufficient daily magnesium intake can help significantly if you take zinc to promote healthy erectile function or to help alleviate ED. Zinc is often recommended as a natural ED remedy, particularly for men who have a zinc deficiency, according to MayoClinic.com. Magnesium helps regulate zinc levels in the body to support healthy erectile function. Herbs, vitamins and minerals, including magnesium, haven’t been widely studied in terms of their true benefits for men with ED or other erectile problems, but maintaining adequate levels of essential vitamins and minerals may help a doctor narrow down the cause of such problems.
In the human body, folic acid interacts with vitamin B12, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B7 (also called vitamin H or biotin). The signs of biotin deficiency can be hair loss, skin inflammation, skin pallor, mucous membrane inflammation, depression, drowsiness, anemia, blood sugar disorders, muscle pain, poor appetite, nausea, and insomnia. Besides, a person feels tired, irritable and depressed. Consequently, male libido and sexual activity reduce. In turn, this negatively affects sexual performance.

Penile erection is a hemodynamic process involving increased arterial inflow and restricted venous outflow, coordinated with corpus cavernosum and penile arterial smooth muscle relaxation. Any problem in this mechanism results in Erectile Dysfunction and its etiology is generally multifactorial. This study is aimed at determining the objective outcome of aerobic training in the management of Erectile Dysfunction of arterogenic origin using Meta analysis.
For many men, stopping smoking is an erectile dysfunction remedy, particularly when ED is the result of vascular disease, which occurs when blood supply to the penis becomes restricted because of blockage or narrowing of the arteries. Smoking and even smokeless tobacco can also cause the narrowing of important blood vessels and have the same negative impact.
When I first started dating my husband he had a very different diet than mine. Over time he adopted my way of eating and he too has seen and felt the benefits in his digestion, mood, and energy. We both have endocrine systems that need similar kinds of support, even if the end goal of my protocol is all about restoring your feminine hormonal FLO.  He now knows how to support his own optimized sex drive.  Start feeding your self and your man this sex supportive diet now and thank me later 😉
What it’ll do for you: “Yohimbe dilates the blood vessels and can lower blood pressure,” says Dr. Patrick M. Fratellone, an integrated physician with a practice in Manhattan. “So experts figured, if it can do that, it must give you an erection and treat erectile dysfunction.” Some proponents say that yohimbe extracts are powerful antioxidants that can prevent heart attacks, act as a stimulant and an anti-depressant, and an aid to weight loss. Here, a closer look at the key benefits:
For Men: Soy is terrible for the male sex drive as the phytoestrogens build up to unnatural levels much too quickly. In fact, an ex boyfriend and I experimented with this when he decided to become vegan. He ate and drank soy products for a month and by the end of that time he had zero libido. Within two weeks of stopping all soy, he was back to normal.
Research is mixed on the effectiveness of acupuncture as an erectile dysfunction cure, but one study published in November 2013 in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that acupuncture can be beneficial for men experiencing erectile dysfunction as a side effect of antidepressants, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and serotonin noradrenaline reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs).

Participants in this study gradually increased their daily intake of niacin from 250 mg to 3,000 mg over 36 weeks. Nine of the 23 people who were taking immediate-release niacin withdrew from the study early because of facial flushing, fatigue, or skin discoloration. Eighteen of the 23 who were taking 3,000 mg daily of sustained-release niacin dropped out due to upset stomachs, fatigue, or abnormal liver function tests. All of these side effects disappeared once the participants stopped taking the vitamin. Additional cause for concern comes from other reports suggesting that high doses of sustained-release niacin can cause jaundice and liver failure.
Yohimbe bark is an herbal supplement. Its species name is Pausinystalia yohimbe. Yohimbe comes from the bark of the evergreen Corynanthe yohimbe tree, which is in the plant family called Rubiaceae. The active ingredient in yohimbe, called yohimbine, is also used to make certain medications. Today it’s studied for its ability to help treat conditions including erectile dysfunction/impotence, diabetes, depression, hypotension, and overuse of certain medications.

In addition to lowering low-density and total cholesterol along with triglycerides, increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) has become one of the principal objectives for treating hyperlipidemia. Considerable evidence has shown that even a minor improvement in HDL-C levels may significantly reduce cardiovascular risk. For example, it has been found that an increase of 1 mg/dl in HDL-C levels results in a parallel reduction in coronary artery disease risk by 2% in men and 3% in women. Moreover, HDL-C helps to transport oxidized cholesterol from peripheral tissues where it instigates atherosclerosis to the liver for excretion. Furthermore, HDL-C has potential anti-inflammatory, anti-thrombotic and anti-oxidant effects.
